10 for 13

2013 was the year that…

  1. I published a book
  2. I put on five events, featured some of my favourite people, and plotted more for 2014
  3. I finally started designing for products not for projects and had the most satisfying year I can remember as a result
  4. Inspired by Cennydd’s post over a year ago, I determined to think and work as a designer in a broader sense and skill up where I needed to, to fill in the gaps in my practice
  5. I rediscovered gaming, on iOS at least
  6. I read more books, fewer tweets. Thanks, Readmill
  7. I rode my bike less, but enjoyed it more
  8. I fell back in love with football. Well, some of it
  9. I thought hard about what it means to be Glaswegian and Scottish in light of this
  10. I promised myself I’d write more here, next year

2013 was a good year.
